Additional Filtration: Why do I need additional filtration other than factory equipped?

 Factory full flow filters cannot provide fine filtration, and simultaneously maintain the required oil flow rates necessary to properly lubricate an engine.

 Additive Packages: Will the Enviro-Kleen bypass filtration system remove the additive package from my oil?

 NO. Additives are oil soluble and therefore cannot be removed by the Enviro-Kleen bypass filtration system.

 Oil Change Intervals: Must oil be replaced at regular intervals to protect engines and hydraulic systems from damage?

 NO. Oil change intervals are not dependent upon miles or hours that oil has been in service. The need to change oil is dependent upon the amount of contamination contained within an oil. When extending the oil drain interval, drain cycles must be determined by oil analysis.

 Bypass Filters and Oil Pressure: If I install the Enviro-Kleen  bypass filtration system on my engine, won't it starve my engine of lubricating oil?

 NO. Engine oil pressure will not be affected by installation of the Enviro-Kleen bypass filtration system. The flow rate through the Enviro-Kleen bypass filter is approximately 2 quarts per minute.

 Acid Build-Up: What about acid build-up within the engine?

 Coolant Leak: Can a bypass filter prevent oil dilution from a coolant leak?

 No bypass filter can overcome oil dilution from a coolant leak.

 Oil Color: Does the use of an Enviro-Kleen bypass filtration system restore the original color of the oil?

 No. When suet first enters the oil it is molecular. No filter will filter particles this small.  The additives in the oil keep it suspended until they weaken and then the suet starts forming larger particles.  When it gets to the 1-micron size the Enviro-Kleen Filter System starts to pick it up.  But you cannot filter the color of suet out of the oil.
